These four Shell Blanks were fired from Spalko’s (Cate Blanchett) Browning M1919A6 Machine Gun in the 2008 American Action-Adventure Film directed by Steven Spielberg. These .30 Caliber shells were fired in the scenes when Jones (Harrison Ford), Ravenwood & Mutt get embroiled in an intrepid Soviet truck Chase through the Amazon Jungle. Spalko gets thrown onto Ravenwood’s (Karen Allen) truck & uses the Machine Gun to shoot at her pursuers. These blank ‘PAK’ shells were used to imitate the sound & aesthetic of real ammunition; without any serious risk to Cast & Crew. The blanks come mounted inside a bespoke display with a corresponding still & a descriptive plaque. These artefacts were originally obtained from one of the Film’s Weapons Coordinators through The Propstore of London.
