This is an original 6" x 6" metal section of the letter "H" from the original Hollywood Sign, which originally read “Hollywoodland” when it was first constructed in 1923. In 1977 Hugh Hefner campaigned to have the sign restored, & subsequently pieces of the original construction were kept in storage. The piece is number 95 of 95 sections released in this edition, & it comes mounted inside a framed display featuring black & white stills. Provenance: The display incorporates a Certificate of Authenticity from PSA DNA. A rare artefact from an iconic cinematic landmark.
