This is an original 6" x 6" metal section of the letter "H" from the original Hollywood Sign, which originally read “Hollywoodland” when it was first constructed in 1923. In 1977 Hugh Hefner campaigned to have the sign restored, & subsequently pieces of the original construction were kept in storage. The piece is number 95 of 95 sections released in this edition, & it comes mounted inside a framed display featuring black & white stills. The dimensions of this framed display is approximately 29.5" wide by 23.5" tall. A small fragment of paint is loose from the piece and can be seen inside the inner aperture. Provenance: The display incorporates a Certificate of Authenticity from PSA DNA.
