It is fair to say that when it comes to Helicopters, James Bond knows his stuff. From attempting to control a remotely hijacked helicopter in the pre-title sequences of For Your Eyes Only (1981), to a death-defying battle with Marco Sciarra inside a spinning helicopter at the beginning of Spectre (2015). Now you can equip yourself with all the necessary experience… just in case. The Winning Bidder of this Lot will learn how to physically fly the aircraft together with aspects needed to be a successful pilot. The fully-qualified instructor will run through a safety briefing and talk through some of the flight theory. Once in the helicopter, you will spend 20 minutes in the air, split into three sessions, where you will learn observation skills, how to navigate, and flying respectively. Then you can take part in a hover challenge to test the skills you have learned. Bidding opens on Sunday 8th March 2026. Proceeds will be donated to York Against Cancer (Registered Charity Number 1130835).
