This is a piece of the iconic sweater worn by the menacing Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) in Director Ronny Yu’s hit American Slasher Movie. The 1x1cm red knit wool swatch came from the sweater Freddy wore in the Boiler room scenes filmed at an abandoned asylum in New Westminster. Since 1984 Freddy Krueger has become one of the most recognisable villains of the Horror genre. His red & green striped sweaters in which Wes Craven learned were the most clashing of colours, helped to transform him into the infamous claw-wielding maniac. Freddy vs. Jason marked Actor Robert Englund’s final portrayal of the Character after appearing in six Movies under the Nightmare franchise. This swatch was extracted from one of the screen-used sweaters sold at the official New Line Cinema Auction held in 2005.
