The section, with partially written text on blue paper, from an original prop MI6 Letterhead used in Director Lee Tamahori’s Spy Film starring Pierce Brosnan. Prop MI6 letters were created as set dressing in Miss Moneypenny’s (Samatha Bond) office. Though many of the typewritten contents & exact details of such letters wouldn’t be seen on screen, the Production often included comedic stories and communications that Moneypenny had to deal with. This section reads as follows:
“Dear Ms Farrell, I am writing in reply to your letter of 31st December 1998 regarding a stake-out during which you understandably mistook our agents for peeping toms. Let me inform you that our agents are not in the habit of peeping at 70 year old ladies through their infrared imaging system and that they were in fact looking at the bedroom window of the”
The section comes mounted inside a matted & framed display (9 x 7 inches overall) with a corresponding still of Samantha Bond as Moneypenny. Condition: There is a central tear which has been repaired with tape. Provenance: From a collection of prop documents originally sold by The Propstore of London.
