This prop School Permission Slip was used in Director Steve Miner’s American Horror Sequel & the seventh Film in the Halloween Franchise. The Slip features the Hillcrest Academy Motif at the top & is printed onto parchment paper, along with a comedic piece of text waiving the Academy’s liability in the event of “attack by bears, mountain lions, snakes or psychopathic killers with knives”. This Slip was made to choreograph the scene which sees John’s Mother & Headteacher Laurie/‘Teri’ (Jamie Lee Curtis) provide Permission for him to go on a Camping trip. It is later found that John (Josh Hartnett) has ulterior plans for Halloween & decides to stay at the Academy. The prop comes professionally mounted inside a bespoke framed display (36x46cm) with a corresponding still & a descriptive plaque. Provenance: Obtained from a reputable Hollywood Asset Manager, who was instructed by Miramax to auction a lot of the Film’s inventory in 1999 & 2000.
