Probably one of the biggest ‘jump-scares’ in Horror Movie History is when a decomposed Jason abruptly ascends out of the waters of Crystal Lake behind Alice’s (Adrienne King) Canoe. That terrifying character was played by Ari Lehman, who was the first Actor to portray Jason Voorhees in Paramount’s 1980 Film. Director Sean S. Cunningham’s first Film would inspire an entire Franchise of Friday 13th Films, securing Jason Voorhees as one of the most iconic Horror Villains. This black & white still depicts Ari with Special Make-Up & Creature Effects Artist Tom Savini, & has been hand-signed & inscribed “Jason 1” by Ari in blue Sharpie.
