This prop pill bottle was used in Director Samuel Bayer’s American Supernatural Horror Film & the remake of Wes Craven’s 1984 Film of the same name. The plastic pill bottle includes the fictional supplier name “Valley Drugs” centrally & is prescribed to “Nancy Thompson” with dosage instructions underneath. Nancy Thompson was the fictional character in the original Elm Street Franchise who was hunted in her dreams by the serial killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). The character was reimagined as Nancy Holbrook in 2010 & portrayed by Actress Rooney Mara. Props of this kind were used when Nancy attempts to stay awake to prevent her dreaming about Freddy, & for anecdotal effect the Production used the Character’s original surname on the label. The prop remains in fine condition with some minor wear from use on set, & comes mounted inside an acrylic display case with a corresponding descriptive plaque. Accompanies Provenance.
