This is a piece of prop iceberg used in Director James Cameron’s epic American Disaster Film starring Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio. The 1x1cm iceberg fragment is made of foam & comes from a larger section used during the Production. Reflective granules were mixed into the foam formula to give an icy sparkling appearance. These props would have been used alongside two 1:20 & 1:13 scale models of the Titanic; a 45 foot long static model & a 65 foot long model that could repeatedly break in two. The iceberg pieces were originally obtained by a former employee of Digital Domain; the Company that created the Visual Effects for the Film. This particular fragment comes mounted inside a bespoke acrylic display (10x7x2cm) which incorporates a tamper-proof Certificate of Authenticity to the reverse. Please note that we have a limited edition quantity of these displays & the fragment you receive may differ slightly to the one pictured depending on where it has been extracted from the larger section.
