This is a swatch of one of the Spider-Man costumes worn by the Stunt Double in Director Marc Webb’s American Superhero Film starring Andrew Garfield. The stunt Costumes worn by Stunt Double William Spencer were made from a spandex material with raised embellishments (ie, webbing) which were formed using a solvent-based gutta. This swatch comes from a section which is believed to have formed the upper chest area of the costume. Sections of the costume were sold in a Cast & Crew asset sale at Grumman Studios in New York. The swatch comes beautifully mounted inside a striking framed display (13x9.5”) which incorporates the Film’s Poster & includes a descriptive plaque. Please note that swatches may differ slightly to the one pictured, depending on where the webbing was situated on the original section.
