This is a miniature bollard used in Director James Cameron’s epic American Disaster Film starring Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio. The bollard stands 14.5cm tall & is made from resin with painted detailing to imitate metal. It would have been utilised as part of the 45 foot long filming miniature which the Production created & combined with digital effects from a motion capture stage. This miniature comes from Master Model Maker Donald Pennington; which he has signed & inscribed ‘Titanic 98 Donald Pennington’ along the side. Donald worked on the Film alongside Visual Effects Company Digital Domain as a subcontractor. The piece remains in excellent condition with some minor wear from use on set & comes mounted on a wooden display base with a descriptive plaque (12x6”).
