This is an original piece of the Death Star II used in Director Richard Marquand’s Science Fiction Epic Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983). The intricate metal section measures approximately 1.5x1cm & would have formed part of the Death Star II Model created at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, England. The model measured 137 centimeters in diameter, & was created using Lucite & photo-etched wafer-thin metal sheets to create the illusion of a colossal space station. This piece was originally obtained from a former production engineer who worked on the Film & comes framed with a corresponding still & a descriptive plaque, measuring 27x32cm. Accompanies a letter regarding the provenance.
