This is a prop Last Will & Testament used in Director Tim Burton’s Gothic Supernatural Horror Film starring Johnny Depp. The 24x16.5” prop includes calligraphic writing on a parchment-effect paper with a seal in the top right corner & two signatures at the bottom. At the beginning of the Film, Peter Van Garrett (Martin Landau) can be seen signing the new Will using a Quill before folding the document & sealing it with a hot wax crest. Hardenbrook (Michael Gough) later reveals that prior to his death at the hands of the Headless Horseman, Peter wrote a new Will after secretly marrying a Widow with an unborn child. The prop remains in excellent condition with some minor wear from use on set, & comes beautifully mounted inside a framed display, with two corresponding stills & a descriptive plaque. A small mirror located at the top of the main aperture allows the viewer to see the wax seal underneath. Accompanies provenance.
